When you need a break take it if you can. You can’t be fresh and ready for the challenges ahead without rest.
I started making peace signs to turn anger and apathy into compassion and action. But anger and compassion can coexist. Right now the US government is arguing that it doesn’t have to provide soap or beds to immigrant children detained at the border seeking asylum. It’s inhumane, it’s wrong and I am angry. And you should be too.
Law enforcement focuses too much on compliance and coercion. We need policies that focus on de escalation and containment.
